WAR INDUSTRIES HIT
BOMBS FALL NEAR DIEPPE Rec. 1.30 p.m. RUGBY, July 11. War industries in occupied territory were attacked this afternoon, when Bostons bombed several electrical power-stations which serve as factories in the Bethune area, South Dieppe. The bombers flew unescorted, and, after using cloud cover over the coast, dived to treetop height for the bombing run. One Boston crew reported that three of their four bombs- had fallen on the centre of the objectives. Another Boston hit a switch-house, and the pilot saw smoke rising from the building afterwards. One aircraft went so low that it had to hop twice over high-tension cables. Only one crew reported seeing German fighters. Those did not attack.
