TARANAKI FARM SALES
More sales of farms and town houses have been made in Taranaki in recent months than in the corresponding period for many years. Though the months between milking seasons have always been a time when farms change hands in Taranaki, land agents this year appear to have been busier than usual. A feature of this year's property transactions is the number of sales that have been made on an all-cash basis, while in the greater majority of the other sales, most of the cash has been paid and very little left on mortgage. This, it is stated, is in marked contrast with the position after the last war, when in a great many cases farms changed hands on payment of a comparatively small deposit
