INCIDENT AT LEAGUE; A SUBSTITUTE IS REPLACED The Mount Albert Rugby League Club wrote to last night's meeting of the Auckland controlling body, seeking a ruling whether a player, once he left the fieid injured, ar.J was replaced, could return to take further part in the match, j An incident of such nature took place in the game between Mount Albert and Manukau last Saturday, when an allegedly , injured player came back after half-time. I It was ruled that the action of the i Manukau Club was contrary to the laws : of the game. It was decided to play the second round in the same sequerjce as the first round. ; and that the early games be commenced at 1.30 p.m. It was decided to donate the total pro- ! ceeds of next Saturday's games to the Liberty Loan. The chairman, Mr. J. W. I Watson, said that on Saturday last the Minister of Finance. Mr. Nash, who was | present at Cariaw Park, was acquainted j with the offer, and he expressed his appreciation of the generous support, j Mr. Watson added that the New Zealand J Rugby League would make a subsidy of pound for pound toward the loan.
