MORE ACTIVE MARKET Business speeded up considerably on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day, but was confined chiefly to issues which have been active lately. Values were generally firm. In first local dealing for about five weeks, Australian Consolidated Industries, despite the lower dividend, showed a rise of- 1/6 to £2 12/. Farmers' Fertilizers were firmer, and there was considerable activity in the leading brewery issues at the late advanced prices. A stronger tone was evident among Government stocks.
