POWER ECONOMY

HAMILTON RESTRICTIONS BAN OX CERTAIN LIGHTS (0.C.) HAMILTON, this day. Restrictions in the use of electricity in Hamilton Borough are now in force. While it is hoped the present street lighting will not be greatly affected, the prohibition of exterior sign lighting, ornamental and floodlighting will again plunge the main business area into comparative gloom. Under verandah lighting at theatres, concert halls, dance halls or cabarets will be permitted onlv for a period of 30 minutes before and 15 minutes after any programme. No other unuer-verandah lighting will be permissible.

Restriction is placed on the number of watts used for interior lighting in shops and business premises.
