SENIOR LEAGUE PLAY
A decision to commence the senior grade competition on May 1 with nine teams, instead ol the proposed amalgamation scheme for six, was arrived at at the last meeting of the Auckland Rugby League. Messrs. A. J. McGregor, W. Cloke and J. Klrwan were appointed selectors for the Auckland The draw lor the first championship series is as follows:— Ponsonby V. City; l&anukau V. North Shore; Mount Albert v. Marist; Richmond v. Newton; Otahuhu, a bye.
