PROMOTED PILOT-OFFICER
Notification of the promotion of their son, Pilot-Officer J. C. Ralph, to commissioned rank, has been received from England by Mr. and Mrs. C. J.
Ralph, 7, Eldon Road, Mt. Eden. Pilot-Officer Ralph, who is 23 years of age, was educated at the Balmoral school and the Seddon Memorial Technical College. Trained in New Zealand, he left in January, 1942, for England. He has since been on operations in Wellington and Lancaster bombers. He has now completed his first operational period, which included bombing runs over Berlin and Italy, and has been posted as an instructor.
