THEIR CELEBRATION GESTURE LONDON. Viscount Simon, the Lord Chancellor, and Viscountess Simon celebrated their silver wedding with a second marriage ceremony. The first ceremony was conducted in Paris by the British ConsulGeneral in 1917. Lord Simon told the Sunday Dispatch: "My father (the Rev. Edwin Simon) was a well-known Congregational minister, for whose memory I always keep a very deep affection. I like to do what he would have liked." The second marriage ceremony was conducted by the Rev. George Millar at the Congregational Church at Walton, Surrey, close to Lord and Lady Simon's Tad worth home.
