MAORI SENT FOR TRIAL
ALLEGED MURDER ATTEMPTS (0.C.) WHANGAREI, this day. On a charge of attempting to murder Ngaro Moses Davis, a returned soldier, at Punuruku on March 14, Koni Thompson, 43, a Maori farmer (Mr. T. Henry), who pleaded not guilty before Mr. R. Ferner, S.M., at Whangarei, was yesterday committed for trial. Thompson was earlier committed for trial on a charge of attempting to murder his wife, Mary Thompson.
