AGE BENEFICIARIES
Smith, No. 2. tries hard to bolster up Mr. Elliott's statements of nis case, Smith versus Jones, and m doing so states that Smith's annuity saves the Social Security Fund from having to pay to him an age benent. This is absolutely untrue; even Mr. Elliott admits that Smith, in addition to his annuity, gets an age benent 01 £64 18/. If the Reform Government raided the funds, as Smith, No. states that they did, I omitted to state that, because I did not know who raided the funds, but I do know that the Reform Government did noi use the funds that .they raided to neip age beneficiaries. Mr. Elliott tries to make out that Smith, the railway superannuitant is forced to contribute £20 out of his £160 to the Age Benefit Fund. Actually he only puts in £4, and considering he takes out. £64 18/, that's not a bad dividend. job.
