• • - A strong team will represent Northern Military District at the combined services athletic meeting next Saturday at Sarawia Park, when the New Zealand Navy and all branches of the United Nations' Services will enter teams. Among the Northern cracks will be D. Harris (100 220 and 440 yds champion). Brian Faire (the -Auckland representative Bugby three-quarter). W. and- A. Preston (professional mile and 880 yds runners), Ron Keats (Papakura high jumper), and H. W. Wilkins (secretary of Christchurch Technical Old Boys' Olub). The last-named was a former New Zealand Droad Jump and hop, step and jump champion.
