A CHARGE DISMISSED
Submissions by Mr. J. J. Sullivan that his client was not in charge of the vehicle and that there was no evidence of any intention to drive, were upheld by Mr. J. Morling, S.M., in the Police Court this morning, when Albert James Clark, a labourer, 31, denied that he was in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motor car on April 3.
Remarking that he could not convict on the evidence placed before him, the magistrate dismissed the charge. On a charge of having no driving license Clark,, who pleaded guilty, was fined £3.
