MR. NASH RETURNS
AUCKLAND. WELCOME
After an absence of over 12 months, Mr. Walter Nash, New Zealand Minister to the United States of America, returned from Washington this afternoon. He arrived in Auckland shortly after three o'clock.
Mr. Nash was welcomed by his wife, and the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, who, headed a Ministerial party consisting of Mr. Coates, Minister of Armed Forces and War Coordination, Mr. Webb, Minister of Mines, and Mr. O'Brien, Minister of Transport. Others who met Mr. Nash were: Commodore Eustace Rotherham, R.N., Major-General P. H. Bell, D.5.0., and Air-Commodore N. W. Buckley, M.8.E., R.N.Z.A.F., Mr. J. W. Heenan, Under-Secretary of the Department of Internal Affairs, and Mr. C. A. Furlong of that Department.
