N.Z. NOVELIST
The New Plymouth novelist, Mrs. P. F. Melhose, who writes under the name of Wallis Hutton, has had a substantial offer for the rights of publication of her second novel, "Marcia," by a New York firm of publishers. This novel is at present being held in England for future publication, owing to present war conditions - and shortage of paper. Mrs. Melhose has referred the New York agents to those in England. Mrs. Melhose is the wife of FlyingOfficer F. F. Melhose, R.N.Z.A.F., and has a son and daughter serving with the. R.N.Z.A.F.
