CONSUMERS TO RE-REGISTER In a statement released to-day, the Food and Rationing Controller, Mr. J. E. Thomas, announced that during April opportunity will be given to all consumers to register again • for their sugar supplies with any grocer in their district. Having done so, however, tney will be required to remain registered with the same grocer for the currency of the present ration book. "Everyone must re-register when t purchasing the April sugar ration, I and in any case, not later than April 4 ■30, said Mr. Thomas, "and' no i grocer may supply a consumer with I the April sugar allowance until this t new registration has been effected." i Transfers of registrations after f April 30 will not be permitted un- } less they are necessary on account of change of locality or the closing down of a retail establishment, t Special cases may arise where * transfers are essential for other i reasons, but, in all such cases, appli- t cation is to be made, in the first place to a rationing officer. The attention of licensed retailers and establishments drawing supplies by wholesale is drawn to an advertisement concerning consumer re-regis-tration and they are requested to £ make themselves conversant with ? the procedure. i ' t
