TALLY CLERKS' REUNION
The Auckland tally clerks held a successful smoke concert on Saturday evening in the Lewis Eady Hall. All unions on the waterfront were represented. The following toasts were lionoured: "The King," "Our Union,"
"Kindred Bodies," "Employers," "Absent Members," "The Artists" and "The Ladies." A fine and varied programme was presented, by the following artists: Messrs. Arthur Wright, Russell Bennett, Wally Hawkins, Jack Merce, Geo. Clapham, A. E. McMahon, Bert Watson, C. Huston, S. McCafferty, Hilton Porter and Strong. Mr. A. B. Nolan was in the chair, and Mr. W. Purcell acted as accompanist. Great credit is due to the committee for the success of the evening. As a result the Union Hospital Fund will benefit financially.
