NEW ZEALAND FLYERS
Mr. Jordan Pays Visit To North Of Scotland N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent Rec. noon. LONDON, Mar. 28. While spending a week in Scotland visiting R.A.F. stations to meet New Zealanders, Mr. W. J. Jordan called in to see a New Zealand torpedcbomber squadron which has scored many successes against Nazi shipping off the Norwegian coasts. Mr. Jordan congratulated the squadron on its achievements, of which he said the Dominion was justifiably proud. New Zealanders in this squadrcn now include Flying-Officers F. K. Moynihan (Nelson), S. Latta and C. J. Freshney (Auckland), E. L. Blyth (North Auckland), Flight-Sergeants F. McPherson (Rotorua), S. W. Hall and R. T. Henderson (Auckland), F. W. Bacon (Taumarunui), P. E. Booth (Wellington), W. P. Lanigan (Gisborne), A. T. P. Boyle (Tirau), E. A. Hurley (New Plymouth), W. J. Douglas (Ohinemutu), H. A. Sherley (Te Awamutu), Sergeants H. E. Junge (Middlemarch), I. Griffiths (Christchurch), L. R. Lander and L. B. Lapwood (Auckland), W. J. MacErlich (Hastings), D. L. White (Gisborne), W. H. Thompson (Wellington), and Warrant-Officer R. C. Dunn (Kaiapoi). Other members of the personnel are:—Corporals F. W. Easson and D. W. Edwards (Auckland), R. P. Ewart and A. H. Cardwell (Christchurch), W. Dawson (Napier), J. G. Anderson (Invercargill), and Leading-Aircraft-man L. A. Cadness (Auckland). Mr. Fraser's Home Visited Mr. Jordan, who was accompanied by Air-Commodore A. de T. Nevill, also visited Fearn, Mr. Fraser's birthplace, where Mr. Fraser's father is a humble cobbler. At Tain the Provost handed Mr. Jordan the freedom casket and scroll, which is one of the many freedoms conferred on Mr. Fraser during his visit to Britain in 1941. It had been left in Tain for safe keeping, but will now be kept at New Zealand House until after the war.
The Prime Minister's late brother,' Mr. W. J. Praser, has left £766.
