TURNOVER REDUCED

Little business was put through on the Auckland Stock Exchange this morning, and there were few changes in the market. Demand was good for industrials, and most trading company shares, but support remained easier for a number of prominent issues such as Bank of New Zealands, New Zealand Insurances, breweries, Broken Hill Proprietaries, the Woolworth group and others. Improvement in Auckland Gas was confirmed with further dealing at 6/9, at which figure buyers stayed in. North Auckland Farmers' B prefs., selling at 13/, were 1/ up on January levels.
