INDOOR BOWLING
The sixteenth annual meeting of the OKinEte Bowling club held in the Transport Hall. Symonds Street, elected the following officers for the 1943 season: —President, F. A. Harris, vicenresidents. F? J. Mansell, J. Speir. F. Simpson: secretary-treasurer, Mrs. L. Boles; management committee, Mesdames Steen, McCowatt, Maddren. Miss Cambidge. W. J. Mitchell. H. J. Boles; selectors and umpires, W. J. Mitchell, H. J Boles G. Williams, H. W. Young. F. Simpson. IW. D. Gelding (0.A.5.): floor committee R Kneebone (convener). J. Reynolds, A. Thomas, W. Venville C Hoiroyd; social[committee Mesdames Warden (convener), H. w. Young,' H. Kneebone, D. Gelding, Larsen, Ward and Pratt; delegates to the Auckland Centre, Mrs. L. Boles, W. J. Mitchell. F. Simpson. With a membership of 168 the club has had its most successful season to date ; exceeding its usual quota of providing soldiers parcels, and has made special arrangements to improve this for the incoming season. The opening night's tourney resulted in three teams winning all their games. Twenty-two teams competed, the final resulting in Mrs. Saunders? Mrs. Eyes. Mrs. Maddrenn. W J. Mitchell beating R. Emmerson, J. Blair, Mrs. H. W. Young. G. Williams. •
