INJURED IN CAR COLLISION

(P.A.) DUNEDIN, Thursday. A motor collision occurred near Balclutha last evening, as the result of which five persons are in the Balclutha Hospital.

A car driven by Mr. H. H. Lyall, of Balclutha, collided with another driven by Mr. Campbell Stewart, a driver in the employ of Clutha Taxis. Mr. Lyall had with him as passenger Mr. J. R. Copland, Mayor of Balclutha, while the other car had as passengers Mr. and Mrs. Greenfield and Mrs. L. H. Henry, of Auckland.

All except Mr. Stewart were admitted to hospital suffering from injuries of a more or less serious nature. Mr. Lyay and Mr. Greenfield received fractured legs, and Mesdames Greenfield and Henry broken arms. Their condition this morning was satisfactory.
