PRICES AND INSPECTORS

Instead of employing so many inspectors to ascertain whether tradesmen are over-charging for their goods, would it not be a better plan for the Price Tribunal to advertise the price of all stabilised goods in the daily papers? Then the housewife could take the list with her every time she did her household shopping, would then know immediately if she was being overcharged, and could refuse to pay more than the listed amount. This would be easier on the taxpayer, and would release both men and women for war work. vOMMON SENSE.
