It will consist of a series of Illustrated Lectures on the Growth of Music from the 16th Century to the present day, and will conclude at 7 p.m. with some singing. Weekly Music Recitals are also arranged to precede the Lecture from 5.30 - 6 p.m. The Musical Appreciation Course is open to all interested in Music and enrolment may be made at the first lecture. The fee for the course is £2 2/. A SECOND YEAR Course in Musical Appreciation is held on Thursdays from 6-7 p.m., commencing March 4. In this course, a detailed study is made of a certain specified number of Musical Compositions. For 1943 the compositions are selected from the Instrumental Works of Bach, Brahms and Dvorak.
