KOMATA REEFS OPERATIONS

The latest accounts of the Komata Reefs Goid Mining Co., Ltd., show a balance to the credit of profit and loss account of £2450 against £5522 the previous year. The dividend, previously announced, was 4d a share (less British income tax), compared with 6d in 1941. This took £1773, leaving £677 to be carried forward, against £202 brought in. In his address to shareholders in London, the chairman, Mr. C. T. Ley. said investments were steady, though the market value had declined as*a result of the Pacific war. North Kalgurli mine, in which the company was chiefly interested, had suffered no damage, and developments were most promising. The reserve fund of £16,278 had become an investment fluctuation account with a deficiency of £12,341.
