TRADING EASES OFF

Listed business for the first two calls on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day showed a decline, and wider margins prevailed generally. New Zealand Insurances, selling at £4, regained the slight loss earlier in the week. Australian leaders displayed a somewhat irregular tone, but Dominion shares were unchanged. In their first sale since October. Taranaki Oil Fields sold 1/6 down at 4/6. Government issues were a little firmer, and original War Loan was placed at £94 10/', a gain of 10/ since December.
