Miss Kathleen'M. Browne, daughter of Mr.G. T. H.' Browne, of . the commercial staff of, the Otago JUaily Times, who was formerly. a student, at the Ghristehurch School of . Art; and went" to England in 1932, is drawing illustrations for the Arabic Listener. The Arabic Listener, says our London correspondent, is a 8.8.C. propaganda periodical, published in Arabic and distributed '■throughout Arabic-speaking countries. Miss Browne gave up her art. work at the beginning of the war; and at different periods, was a nurse, a shelter marshal, and a matron at a boys' preparatory school. She 'recently returned to art, and in addition to teaching at two schools, is working on-a set of drawings for the Ministry of = Information. Her work was recently exhibited in an exhibition given by the Women's International Art Club, and was accepted for the United Artists' Exhibition at the Royal Academy from December 20 to March IS.
