DEPLETED MEMBERSHIP
JUNIOR COMMERCE CHAMBER Depletion of membership owing to war service is the main difficulty mentioned in the annual report of the activities of the Auckland Junior Chamber of Commerce, presented at the annual meeting yesterday. Numerous changes were made to the personnel of the board, and three members served as chairman during the year, states the report. The position of the vice-chairman of the advisory-council also changed a good deal. The average attendance at weekly luncheons was reduced by the same factor. The financial statement for the year showed a deficiency due to the large number of members on war service, but the senior council, in recognition of the good work done by the junior chamber, voted a sum that more than covered the deficiency.
