ENEMY SHIPS SUNK

CRUISER PROBABLY "BAGGED" Rec. 2.30. WASHINGTON, Feb. 17. United States submarines have reported the following results of operations against the enemy in the Pacific and Far East, states the Navy Department's communique No. 285: One medium tanker, one medium transport, two medium cargo ships, one escort vessel, all sunk; one cruiser damaged and probably sunk; and one medium cargo ship damaged. These actions were not announced in previous communiques.
