MUSHROOM BOOM
SUPPLIES FOR AUCKLAND (0.C.) WANGANUI, this day. Mushrooms are plentiful in the Rangitikei district this season. During the past six days 2623 cases of this delicacy have been dispatched from the Mar ton railway station to the markets in the main centres, chiefly to Auckland. A noticeable feature is that a number of property owners are gathering the mushrooms on their jana and sending them to the Auckland markets, wSere good prices am obtainable. Mushrooms m that centre arc retailing at from 2/ to J,/i a 10. In"Wanganui they are being retailed at 1/6 a lb.
