FOUR ROUNDS TO-DAY
TWO PAIRS ALREADY QUALIFY
(Special). ROTORUA, this day. Two pairs with a sequence of six wins have already qualified in the Rotorua Bowling Club's annual pairs tournament, two rounds of which, the fifth and sixth, were played this morning. Yesterday, on account of rain, only one round was played. Although it is fine to-day, the greens are very slow. Four rounds will be played to-day and even this will still leave the tourney one round behind schedule. The unbeaten combinations are H. Neil-J. C. Taplin (Transport), and J. Hardie Neil-W. Bremner (Auckland). Last year's winners, W. Watson and R S. Higginbotham (Henderson), have failed to qualify, having had only one win. W. Spackman and J. Kerr (Onehunga) who .were yesterday unbeaten, lost both their games this morning. - Hardie Neil figured in the successful Auckland rink whicli won me Rotorua fours tournament the week before last ' Ten other pairs have had five wins, and, need only one more victory to qualify Section play comprises nine rounds.
