FRANKLIN SHOW
PATRIOTIC FUND BENEFITS PUKEKOHE, Monday. The' Franklin patriotic fund will benefit by approximately £500 as a result of the patriotic show held at Bledisloe Park, Pukekohe, on Saturday, under the auspices of the Franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Society, the Franklin Jersey Breeders' Club and the Franklin Federated Calf Clubs. The weather was ideal, there was a large crowcl from all parts of the district,' and entries in all classes of competitive events were outstanding. The show was essentially for patriotic purposes, and many prize-winners donated their prize money to the patriotic fund. A popular feature at the show was the presence of a United Nations military band.
