VICE-REGAL LOSS
ONLY SON DIES IN LIBYA Rec. 1 p.m. CANBERRA, this day. Major A. H. P. Hore-Ruthven, only child of Australia's Governor-General and Lady Gowrie, died on Christmas Eve in an Italian hospital in Libya from wounds received on paratroops Commando service. He was 29 years of age, married, and had two children.
