SIX ATJCKLANDERS IN XI.

The members of the victorious Northern Military District team returned by this morning's Limited express, although six have been included -ini the North Island XI. to play South Island soldiers at the Basin Reserve on February 19, 20, 22. In addition to ten men. playing on Saturday last, the selectors included the youthful Parnell all-rounder, Sam Matthews, who is taking a special military course in the capital. Of special interest is the choice of all three Northern Division representatives m the North Island XI., for which W. M. Wallace and G. L. Weir were not available. The initial North Island Army team to take the field will be: — J. R. Lamason, captain (Wellington). A. J. Postles, Auckland. . S. G. Haliday-(Northern Division). M. A. O'Brien (Wellington). R. J.
