ROTARY CLUBS

DOMINION EXTENSION

COUNTRY TOWN MOVEMENT

"Rotary International has asked us to undertake extension . into new towns in New Zealand," said Mr. Fred Hall-Jones, of Invercargill, district governor in New Zealand for Rotary, when addressing the Auckland Rotary Club luncheon in Milne and Choyce's Reception' Hall' to-day. "Two new clubs have already been formed in the Dominion, one' at Rangiora hr the' South Island, and the other at Pahiatua in the North Island, and organisation' work is under way in several other towns. "There are quite a number of suitable towns for Rotary Clubs in the Auckland Province," he said, "and I will be making personal visits to some of them with a view to investigating opportunities of extension." Mr. Hall-Jones added that the idea of Rotary was to get the business men of a community together to work out solutions to difficulties which would have to be faced after the war, and at the same time to study ways of betterment in • community conditions.
