Values firm on closing levels ruled when operations were resumed on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day. Demand was again well spread, with buyers generally taking the initiative. Features of latest dealing were a small reaction in New Zealand Insurances from the peak level of £4 reached last week, and a gain of 4d to 9/G in Consolidated Bricks, now at the highest level since 1940.
