Assets. —Government debt, £11,000,000; other Government securities, £938,200,000; other securities, £800,000; fiduciary issue, .£950,000,000; silver coin, nil; gold coin and bullion, £200,000. Banking Department Liabilities.—Capital, £14,500,000; rest, £3,400,000; public deposits, £8,100,000; bankers' deposits, £142,600,000; other accounts, £56,000,000. Assets.—Government securities, £163,900,000; advances, etc., £4,500,000; other securities, £19,100,000; notes and coin, £37,100,000. Proportion of reserve to liabilities, 17.96 per cent (last week, 19.40 per cent); discount rate, 2 per cent, unchanged.
