INTERNEES IN MALAYA

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Advice has been received by the New Zealand Government that the following are prisoners of war interned in Malaya:—W. W. Abel (engineer and second-lieutenant), FMS.V.C., Wadderburn, Central Otago; J. E. Benham (Purveyor and second-lieutenant), F.M.S.V.C., Coromandel; C. Cairns (Forestry Department), F.M.S.V.C., Cheviot; A. H. Harding (second-lieutenant), Indian Army Frontier Rifles, St. Albans; G. G. McLeod (Private), Mrs. R. K. G. G. McLeod (private), Mrs. R. K. Murray (lieutenant), Awakino; D. Nelson (captain), Napier; W. B. Young (lieutenant), Wellington; G. L. Gibson (second-lieut.), F.M.S.V.C., Lower Hutt; S. C. Colbeck (major), Indian Medical Service, Mrs. W. B. Colbeck, Remuera (next-of-kin); R. B. Horner (captain), P.atea. G. E. Brown, whose next-of-kin is unknown, is interned in the Canadian Academic internees camp at Kobe.
