Southern horsemen who have seen Bel Hamed and Imperial Lady in action expect these two juveniles to fight out the finish of the Great Northern Trotting Stakes, one of the chief events at the Auckland Club's meeting at Alexandra Park to-morrow, but Bay Machine and the Bon Sorte-Bula bracket are reported to have done well in their preparation, and therefore sf keen contest is expected. The Otahuhu Handicap should provide a fine race, and the improving Parshall may oust Sabu from favouritism while solid support will be forthcoming for Parrish Lad, Kete Kura and Grand Dame. Moreover, there is ample other material for a surprise. All the fields appear to be nicely balanced, and form horses include: Trial Handicap: Forewarned, Kaipaki Bill, Firewater.
