THEFTS BY MAORI
A Maori, John Popata, aged 23, who had pleaded guilty to two charges of breaking and entering, and five charges of theft in Auckland, was sentenced by Mr. Justice Fair in the Supreme Court to-day to, imprisonment with hard labour for 17 months. The prisoner had a list of previous offences.
