WORK AFTER THE WAR
The Mount Albert Borough Council decided last evening to refer to a committee of the whole council the question of post-war works for the employment of men returned from the war. The Mayor, Mr. Anderson, said that the schemes proposed should not be planned in any parochial .spirit, and the council agreed with his suggestion that the Local .Bodies' Association should co-ordinate all schemes in the metropolitan area.
