WATER SUPPLY
It is an amazing thing that abou this time each year our city fatners are very prompt in sending two men around to try and catch anyone using hoses illegally or improper!}. It generally finishes up with nose being banned because of the snoriage of water. And yet in Remuera, on the road, is a tap, apparently put there for the use of the Works Department, damaged beyond repair. It has been running full hoie for over a week. The council has been notified three times but nothing has been done. If the council were as prompt as they are at annoying people about hosea, this terrible \v r aste of w T ater would have been remedied immediately. J. HUN'UIR.
