ROAD SIGNS REMOVED

In the Buckland's Beach district vandals have removed a number of road traffic signs erected by the Automobile Association (Auckland) for the protection of pedestrians. One sign has been pulled off and thrown away, and the metal bracket bent. The association has offered a reward for information leading to the conviction of the vandals. During the past few months interference with road safety signs has been particularly bad, and an appeal has been made by the association for the public to report any instances of unauthorised persons interfering with them.
