COLLECTION REFUSED
The Papakura Borough Council, at a meeting last evening, decided not to agree to a request from the secretary of the Auckland District Labourers and Related Trades Industrial Union of Workers that the council should collect union fees from its staff. The request was made, as owing to travel restrictions and petrol shortage it was impossible to make a personal canvass for fees from all the union members.
