U.S. GENERAL PROMOTED
Rec. 2 p.m. NEW YORK, Feb. 9. It is announced that Major-General Millard Harmon, commander of the American Army Air Force m the South Pacific, has been appointed a lieutenant-general. The appointment was recommended by Admiral \V. F. Halsey, Commander-m-Chief, South Pacific, because of the success of army-navy co-operation in - the Solomons.
