"NO DECISIVE ENGAGEMENT" Rec. Ip.m. WASHINGTON,-Feb. 9. A Navy Department spokesman said: "The situation remains unchanged in the South-west Pacific." The Associated Press said this statement was authoritatively interpreted to mean that the sea and air activities which began on January 29 were still progressing, neither side havinsr forced a decisive engagement nor broken off and withdrawn.
