Wilding by six points in a full 21 head game With a lead of 16—5 and over half the game gone Rumbal's chances appeared rosy. However Wilding commenced to find the length and set off In a determined run in an endeavour to wipe off the arrears. On completing the nineteenth head the score read Rumbal 18, Wilding 17, and a sterling finish seemed certain. In the chase after Rumbal, Wilding was within an ace of scoring a couple of fours which could have placed a different complexion on the game, but Rumbal, who was drawing accurately, saved came' on the twentieth head when Rumbal rested his opponents' shot to annexe a brace and went on to score three on the final head to clinch the match.
