APPEALS HEARD
NO. 1 BOARD SITTING Appeals by the Primary Production Council were predominant at this morning's sitting of the No. 1 Armed Forces Appeal Board. Mr. F. H. Haigh was in the chair, and associated with him were Messrs. T. P. McCready and A. M. Samuel. The appeals of the following farmers and farm hands were adjourned sine die: Aubrey Frederick Wright, Cyril Edward Yearbury, and Thomas John Paton. „ The following appeals by or on behalf of reservists were also adjourned sine die: Alfred Francis Amodeo, po\ver station operator (appeal by Auckland Electric Power Board*; - Frederick Basil White, painter and paperhanger (E. C. Kerkin); John Gordon Frear, secretary-manager (Baillie Manufacturers, Ltd.): Arthur Alfred Monk, defence contractor: Donald James McNair, labourer; Thomas John Stone, pottery worker; Albert Edward White, burner (Amalgamated Brick and Pipe Company); Frank Masefield Todd, market gardener; Ernest Alton Sutherland. engineer. An appeal for the retention of Peter Rhynd Lindsay, a pipe manufacturing labourer, in his civilian occupation, was dismissed, an order being made that reservist be not called up before a certain date.
