RETRIAL OF MECHANIC
' : The retrial of James Lawrence Holden, mechanic, aged 29 (Mr. R. S. Burt), on a charge of having obtained £13 by false pretences in, respect to an alleged sale and failure to deliver 88 gallons of benzine to C. L. Augustin, was taken before Mr. Justice Callan and a jury to-day. Accused alleged that the money was obtained as a loan, which was subsequently repaid. (Proceeding)
