Reconnaissance And Laying Of Mines NAZIS RAID SOUTH ENGLAND British Official Wireless Rec. noon. RUGBY, Feb. 7. The Air Ministry states: "Aircraft of the Bomber Command last night laid many mines in enemy waters. Targets in the Rhineland were attacked during a reconnaissance flight over western Germany. Three of bur aircraft are missing." When four raiders this afternoon attacked a town on the south-east coast of England bombs demolished a number of shops and houses and also a fire station. Several people were killed and others trapped, says a cable from London. One bomb smashed through a house, turned sideways and entered a house on the opposite side of the street, where it exploded, killing three women.
