WINNER OF D.F.C.
Advice has been received in Auckland of the award of the Distinguished Flying Cross to FlightLieutenant Huntley Gordon Holmes, at present serving with an R.A.F. bomber squadron in England.
Flight-Lieutenant Holmes, whose sister is Flight-Officer S. R. Julius, of the headquarters of the Northern Group, Auckland, was educated at Takapuna Grammar School. His parents, formerly of Holmes Bay, Banks Peninsula, are at present residing in Brisbane, Australia.
