LATE COMMANDER WORSLEY Rec. 9.30 a.m. LONDON, Feb. 5. The funeral of the late Commander F. A. Worsley, R.N.R., who was born at Akaroa, New Zealand, and became famous as explorer and naval fighter, took place privately at Woking crematorium. His ashes were conveyed to the Royal Naval College Chapel, Greenwich, where a memorial service was held to-day. The High Commissioner for New Zealand, Mr. W. J. Jordan, was represented. Many senior officers attended and later formed a guard of honour while the ashes were conveyed to a Royal Naval ship. The vessel cast off and went to the Nore lightship, where the ashes were scattered. Many tales of Captain Worsley are being recounted in English newspapers.
